MySelfieApp (“we”, “us”) operates the @my_selfie_app_bot Telegram bot, which applies AI photo effects to selfies you send. This policy explains what we collect, how your photos are used, and the choices you have. By using the bot you agree to this policy.
What we collect
- Your Telegram account ID — a numeric identifier Telegram provides. We use it to count your daily free effects and track purchased credits.
- Photos you send — processed to generate the effect you request (see below).
- Usage & credit data — how many effects you’ve used today and your remaining credit balance.
- Payment confirmations — when you buy credits with Telegram Stars, we receive a payment confirmation ID from Telegram. We never see your card or bank details.
We do not collect your name, phone number, email, or message history beyond what’s needed to run the bot.
How your photos are processed
When you send a selfie and choose an effect, the photo (via a Telegram-hosted file link) is sent to Replicate, our third-party AI model provider, which generates the edited image and returns it to you in the chat.
- We do not run our own image storage. We don’t keep a copy of your original photo or the result on our servers after your request is handled.
- Telegram and Replicate process the image under their own privacy terms and retention schedules, which we don’t control. See Telegram’s policy and Replicate’s policy.
- We do not use your photos to train any AI model, and we do not sell or share them for advertising.
Where usage data is stored
Your Telegram ID, daily usage counts, and credit balance are stored in a database hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States. This is the only data we retain about you between sessions.
Payments
Credits are purchased using Telegram Stars, handled entirely within Telegram. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and its charge ID (used for refunds), but no payment-card information ever reaches us.
Your choices & rights
- Check your data — send
/balancein the bot to see your usage and credits at any time. - Deletion — you can request deletion of your usage record by contacting us (see below). Note that purchased credits are forfeited on deletion.
- Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or erase your data. We honor valid requests.
Children
The bot is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). Please don’t use it if you’re under that age.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
